The humper.....
For whatever reason, Luna has started humping her beds (she has one for downstairs and one in our room).
Good for her for giving each bed equal love, but I'm wondering why all of a sudden the need to dominate her poor beds? I mean, they just lie there, submissive and all......
DH thinks it's hysterical and does running commentary while she's in action. It kind of grosses me out.....

It could be that she gets excited when she smells your dh scent.
My male cat tries to " mount" me when I am lying down. I just gently push him off.
ETA- Is that her in your avatar?

Re: The humper.....
We had a fixed FEMALE cocker spaniel that did this all the time. One time she actually humped my cousins ARM and PEED all over it.
Sorry, no advice though.

Yes that's her- my goofball. I've had to hide the camera because DH is trying to get a video of her in action.
As funny as it is- I'm wondering what's causing it. She's about 2 years old and although I've seen her hump my brother's (male) dog while they were playing, and she HAS humped one of the cats, she's never gone at something inanimate with such gusto.
Also- I know it's not for "pleasure" as she's not rubbing any body parts on her bed, just "making the motion". Ugh- I the image is horrifying.....

Re: The humper.....
My Sadie used to do this to my other dog Chelsea. She would get behind her and go at it. Funniest thing I ever saw. From what I understand, it's a domination issue. She was trying to show that she was in charge because she was older and in the house longer. Maybe she thought she had to do this because Chelsea is bigger and stronger than her. Anyway, it was a heck of a show.

Re: The humper.....
Benny is a humper...and he only seems to hump men. He's neutered...has been since he was a few months old. He goes thru humping phases.

Re: The humper.....
My cody only humps his bed also. We let him enjoy. My husband also love to do the commentary as well.
