The ink for your printers...POLL
Do you use the Genuine Cartridges, or do you use a compatible, and refill?
I have an Epson R200 Photo printer, and I have been using the genuine Epson cartridges since day one. I usually find a six pack (black and 5 other color cartridges) at BJs or Costco for $60, but was wondering if there was a "cheaper" way to do it...
I just fear using a compatible cartridge, or just refilling the genuine cartridges for fear of damaging my printer....

I have an HP, but I also buy genuine cartridges at costco. I tried refills once, and it ran out much faster than a new cartridge. So I went back to buying the hp cartridges.

I don't know if it is related, but ever since the day I refilled my black ink cartridge from the guy on 110, my printer has never printed the same again. The color cartridge is now messed up too. Both show full. I will never go back to him again. Like I said, don't know if its related but I'm pizzed.

I've tried all 3 options. The refill was a mess, and didn't really work, and the off-brand ones didn't print properly. In the long run, it winds up being cheaper spending the extra $$ for the name-brand ink.

We use the Epson cartridges. Bets Buy sells them in a multipack for an affordable price and we but it 1x a year as we don't use the printer all that often.

I have an Epson R1800 and buy the Epson ink, I have never tried a generic or refill - I'm just too nervous to try it! Apparently Epson is notorious for ink consumption too  but the prints are beautiful 
They did have a settlement because the cartridges don't actaully run until empty - so I did get $25 in free Epson products - woohoo! That didn't last long

I use brand name cartridges for color and compatible cartridges for black ink. The black cartridges are just as good as the name brand ones but for some reason with the color compatible cartridges the colors seemed off.
I actually read an article a while back that said this same thing.
