The latest pic of my little peanut
I went to the perinatologist yesterday for my hematoma. They did nothing for me. Literally. They did a sono, took my history, told me the clot was very large which I already knew- and the doctor actually told me to cross my fingers and hope for the best. I go back in 2 weeks.
On the happy side- I got to hear the heartbeat for the first time. Unfortunately- DH wasn't with me so he hasn't heard it yet- but my mom was there. It was so amazing.
I still don't have an exact date where I am yet. My OB told me on Monday I was 8w5d. That would make today 9 weeks. The sono tech at the perinatologist said I was "8 and change." I'm gonna stick with what my OB said. The top of my sono says 7w5d, but thats according to my LMP which is wrong because I did IVF.
All in all- i'm not thrilled with the high risk place.
The head is on the left side between the yellow dots. We also got to see the tiny arms and legs!

That's great that you got to hear the HB. But i'm sorry you're not happy with the practice. You really should be happy with them and you stilll have plenty of time to find a new practice. Have thought about looking for a new one and switching?

I'm going to speak to my OB about it on Monday. I might just try seeing a different doctor in the practice.

Re: The latest pic of my little peanut
Did Dr. P recommend Dr. Kofinas to you? He highly recommended Dr. Kofinas to me. I am surprised he didn't send you there first.

He mentioned Dr. Kofinas- but I don't think he takes my insurance.

Re: The latest pic of my little peanut
I see Dr. Kofinas - while he doesn't take my insurance, it is covered 80% by my out-of-network benefits. I have to pay a 200 deductible in the beginning of the year and then I just pay my copay. If you call the office, the girls call your insurance company and check for you.
He is great! Worth a shot.
