The Leftovers season Finale- Spoilers
No book spoilers please!!
OK- starting to get closure on why people disappeared? Is it the people who didn't appreciate their families at that moment? The only connection I can make is, he wanted to be free from his family, Nora Dunn was totally overwhelmed by them, as was the Baby's mom (Sam?). Also his wife was contemplating not keeping the baby....?
I think it was really messed up what those GR people did, and the dummies were incredibly creepy.
Any guesses on what he wished for? I thought it was for his family to reunite- and I think that may happen.

idk about this because the sheriff was cheating when the event happened so he clearly did not appreciate his wife/family but he did not disappear, nor did his family... so i have no clue why certain people disappeared and what the message the cult lady was that she tried to give before she killed herself. i think that Laurie wanted to keep the baby she was just afraid to tell her husband... it was when the baby disappeared from the ultrasound that she decided to join the GR cult.
he probably did wish for his family to be back together.
i think Nora finding the baby gives her some sense of hope.

Yes! I believe that is what he wished for. He found his daughter, Tom found Laurie and well Nora...I think Nora is going to stick around now it seems.
I also believe that the departed are ones that were regretted at that particular time.
And can I just say how creeped the EFF out I was by Nora's family sitting at the kitchen table. I think my heart stopped for a minute.
