The lies we tell to get ultra sounds
Which lies have you told (or know that someone else told) to get an ultra sound during an appt?

See it just dawned on me that I don't think I get anymore...another 124 days seems like a VERY long time to wait to see my man again.

Well...I kind of told the ER doctor that I was having more cramping than I was to get to an ultrasound faster. I felt a little guilty but in all fairness I sat in an ER for 5 hours bleeding without them doing anything. I was so upset that I was possibly miscarrying and here they were, not caring. At the mention of some cramping they “miraculously” got me in to the room…I’m happy I did it, it put my mind at ease!

my brother in law, who is a dr., said they'll give you a u/s if you tell them you don't feel baby. i was going to, but lying doesn't seem like a good idea to me.. i don't want bad karma...

I didnt have to. Since IM measuring 4 wks ahead they are sending me for one April 5th! And its a level II sono so I"ll get to see the baby really well.
Plsu I had my 3D sono done too which was soooo nice.

I didnt have to. Since IM measuring 4 wks ahead they are sending me for one April 5th! And its a level II sono so I"ll get to see the baby really well.
Plsu I had my 3D sono done too which was soooo nice.
I'm pretty jealous!
I wanted to do the 3d but DH veto'd the idea.

My DH said no at first too - then I told him I would sabve up my "allowance" money for the sono (I give myself an allowance from my pay each time I get pain), so then he gave in and agreed - and in the end he was SOOO happy we had it done.

My doctor said I'd get one at 36 weeks to check on the position & size of the baby...
How do they do that otherwise without a sono?

That's correct. I had a final sono about 4 weeks before each of my kids were born.

That's correct. I had a final sono about 4 weeks before each of my kids were born.
Some drs do it and some dont from what I know. My OB normally wouldnt do it but she said since Im measuring ahead, they would do one. It makes sense for everyone to have it done IMO though

My Dr. knows I am paranois and she said to put my mind at ease I can have another level II she gave me the papers but I have not decided if I shold just leave well enough alone at this point.

at 30 weeks when I was supposed to be counting kicks....I told them she was a C/D and no where near an A.
They did a quick sono to make sure fluid levels were ok and that she was not in distress. I also got a non stress test
