The living room is done! ~ before and after pictures!
I am SOOOO happy that it's over! 
I hate the "during" process so much. But it was worth it.
We painted the living room (BM Wheeling Neutral) and painted the trim white...it took THREE coats, and there was a lot of trim! We also painted down the steps and into the foyer, which has four doors...so a lot of painting trim in there too.  Not exactly fun times.  We also bought window treatments and some accessories.
We are planning to put in hardwood floors next spring, and get an area rug to tie everything together. Oh, and I am getting something to put on the right side of the couch.
Here is the living room BEFORE. Ugly brown trim, white walls.
AFTER
hard to see but those dupioni silk drapes match my couch EXACTLY.

Thank you Trish! I think the wall color is so much nicer IRL, the camera flash washed it out a bit.

The room looks great. Love the way the windows(curtains and white wood finish) came out!!

looks great! I love the wall color & the throw pillows. I think a plant behind your magazine basket & maybe something in your baywindow would complete it.

Here is an upclose pic of the pillows. I thought they were funky and added a more contemporary feel to the room. Best part? On sale at Pier 1 Imports for $8.00 each.

That is EXACTLY what I am planning to do! 
What sort of things can you place in the bay window? I was thinking of a few different vases (no flowers in them) but does anyone have any more ideas??
