The more you know...
Did you know that you count how far along you are by the first day of your last period? I had no idea! So as soon as you find out you're pregnant, you're already about 3-4 weeks along, depending on when you tested! I always wondered how women didn't know they were pregnant until 6 weeks. I was like How can they have missed 2 periods and not noticed?! But it's because they were already 4 when they missed the first period! Learn something new every day.

I didnt know that either but I still think its weird because some women (me) ovulate late and/or implant late ( I think me) so in the beginning I feel like it is all too confusing...

This is I think why most first times mom go "late" after there due date.. which wasn't the case for myself, but from reading on here, its the norm to go late.
Its quite confusing lol

Re: The more you know...
The good news for most of us on here is that we are really in tune with our cycles and usually know when we ovulated. When we conceived DS we literally had one shot, so I counted 38 weeks from the date of conception (which turned out to be 2 days earlier than the due date that the doctor gave me) and that's the day he was born - right on time!

Sometimes they will adjust your due date based on your first sono because of this.
