The Morning Sickness Has hit
EXCEPT
IT IS ALL DAY LONG!! Why do they call it morning sickness if you feel it morning, noon, and night?
Do you have any rememdies that worked for you and helped make the nausea just a little more bearable. I am up for any and all suggestions!!
I've heard Saltines (which did work for me tonight thank god) and also someone told me anything with lemons (lemonade, candy, etc)
Anything at all??? It's been two days - all day long and I am praying that it doesn't happen again tommorrow!

Yup, it can last all day.
I wasn't very sick with my pregnancies. One thing that helped when I was naseous was sips of water all the time. I was told that Saltines weren't a good option because of the sodium.
My sister was very sick. She used magnetic bands from the health food store.

I actually liked the preggie pop drops that you can get at maternity stores. Also, pretzel rods, peppermint tea, and peppermint candies. Feel better!

Re: The Morning Sickness Has hit
ginger works great for nausea - there are ginger candies or you can try ginger altoids as well.
There was an article the other day in the New York Times about Nausea and not having to suffer in silence and it discusses nausea during pregnancy and in cancer patients. It gives some tips: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/10/24/health/24brody.html?_r=1&oref=slogin

Me three.
BUT I got GinGin candy and Eli's in the city and that helped a touch. THey have chewy ones and sucking ones, I liked the sucking ones better. Besides that, I couldn't even keep water down pre-Zofran so I am not much help.

Re: The Morning Sickness Has hit
I know how you feel. I have it morning and night. I dry heave in the morning, feel okay during the day, but then get bad at night that I usually throw up
Anyway, my aunt told me to get the sea sickness bands from the drugstore. They are also used for morning sickness. I got them, and wear them in the morning. It seems likes its working, but it could all be psychological.
Also, I make sure to eat carbs. Every morning, when I get to work, I eat a bagel. It really helps. Plus, I make sure to eat carbs during the day. I actually dont really eat protein, but carbs are making me feel better, so whatever!
Good luck!!!

I'm 8 weeks now and it's getting worse for me too. I haven't thrown up yet, but am nauseous, weak and extremely tired all day long. I have to go get some ginger ale to try.

Re: The Morning Sickness Has hit
Different things help me at different times. Like eating small meals often, ginger ale, flat caffeine free coke, ice cream, drinking water or juice, etc. I haven't found one thing that helps me all the time.
Good luck!

Re: The Morning Sickness Has hit
Although I only got sick once or twice, I was always incredibly nauseous during the frist trimester. I basically ate anything I could stomach. Probably not the healthiest, but I lived off a lot of bread, american cheese, cereal, rice, pasta and fruit. I drank a lot of water too and gingerale seemed to help. Sucking candies like lemon drops too. I hope you feel better soon!
ETA: Gatorade is awesome. And if you want to avoid some of the sugar and sodium, try Propel, which I think is by the makers of Gatorade. I also swear by SmartWater, which is just water with electrolytes in it. I was so dehydrated all the time and still am, and it helps so much. You can get it at TraderJoes, Fairway, and I think even Stop and Shop and King Kullen may carry it. A little pricier than Poland Spring, but totally worth it.

Re: The Morning Sickness Has hit
Besides all of the suggestions above, orange juice helped me. I didn't want all the calories of the juice, so I would use either 1/2 or 1/3 juice and fill up my glass with water. I would also snack on pretzels and ginger ale throughout the day. One of the most important things is to not let your stomach get empty.
