The movie/book "Into the Wild"
Has anyone read the book or seen the movie?

I read the book, I liked it a lot. It was one of those Bad Decision things. He made a lot of bad decisions and he had a lot of delusions of grandeur (if you will) he thought he was immortal. It reminded me a lot of that story about the guy with the bears. I would see the movie if I can get a babysitter!

I think the movie comes out on DVD early Feb.
I saw Sean Penn and the family of the man on Oprah a couple of months ago. After seeing them and hearing the story I really wanted to read the book and see the movie but I haven't had the chance yet.
Just wanted to see if I was setting myself up for disappointment or they were really that good.

My favorite song at the moment is on the movie soundtrack- Hard Sun by Eddie Vedder.

I read the book, there are certain parts where you get p i ss ed off because of the bad decisions he made, he didn't have to die that way...

I liked the book - it took me a really long time to get through (I normally read a book in a day or two) because reading about his bad choices just made me bristle under the skin.
I haven't seen the movie yet, but I plan to.

I read the book and really liked it. But I was somewhat unsympathetic to him. I felt like what happened to him was because of his own stupidity and to a certain degree, his arrogance. He went into the wilderness ill-equipped and not prepared.
