Did you read the reviews on Yelp?

I gather it's in a mall or shopping center- so there's that.
This review in particular makes me want to avoid it unless I'm in the area for a particular reason and need something to do
" 4/19/2013 This place is just okay. If you live nearby, it's probably worth it to make the trip (though once is enough) but we came from Brooklyn and it wasn't really worth the trip for us. We came on a Thursday and it was still quite crowded. It's an indoor space located inside a mall, so it has a Chuck E Cheese feel to it. The 4D movie was probably the best part, and that lasts about 15 minutes. My kids (6 & 8) enjoyed the place enough but they also thought the best part was the gift shop at the end. I could have saved my time and energy and gone to Toys R Us for that experience. It's not very well run, with only one operator per ride so it's slow getting through the line. I can only imagine the nightmare during busy weekends. We didn't even bother with the food. If you hold onto your ticket, you get in/out privileges but we arrived at 11am and were out by 1pm."

Re: The New Legoland Discovery Center?
Ridge Hill? If so...I took my three boys (8,6 and 2) there last week. It's a bit pricey since you have to pay for the adult. But what isn't with Legos! I live in CT but decided against the yearly pass since we won't use it enough.
The boys had a blast. We went with a bunch of friends and they all really enjoyed. It took us about 2.5-3 hours to complete. That's with taking a building class.
The food is expensive. $15.00 for the kids meal. We ate next door in the Greek restaurant. There are a bunch of other restaurants too. Ridge Hill is still being built but many stores are opened to shop. Make sure to get validated for parking. Stew Leonard's is close by for food shopping and cheap ice cream.

The New Legoland Discovery Center?
I took DS (5) over the weekend. It was okay. $22/adults, $18/kids.
It was okay....DS had a good time but it was a little expensive. There were some play areas, a 3-d movie, 2 "rides". DS liked the section you can build a car and race them. There was a large indoor climbing structure (like Krazy Kidz/McDonald's).
It wasn't hard to get to - like a hour from Ronkonkoma.

I didn't realize it was in the mall. My kids hate shopping, so that wouldn't be any fun for them lol. Hmmm, might skip it, thanks!
