The Office Season one
We got this yesterday - it's out on DVD and we were watching it last night. It is hilarious. I can't wait to get season 2!

I have to say its the only show that I would say the American version is BETTER than the British version.

Re: The Office Season one
Seriously, its a British show adapted for American TV...Ricky Gervais, Mackenzie Crooks, Lucy Davis...
Read abou the original version here
All your good shows were British first...Three's Company, Deal or No Deal, The Weakest Link, Sanford and Son, All in the Family...they were all just adapted to American TV. We get all the good TV first, its just few and far between. Anyone remember Coupling??? Trigger Happy TV?? Men Behaving Badly...all British. Lets just hope that you don't get Two Pints of Lager and a packet of Crisps...Make sure you never watch this one

OMG I didn't realize this! The only TV that I can remember when I was in London were the naked gameshows... Those were hysterical!
Thanks for the info!!!

I tried watching the British one, but their accents were so strong I had a hard time understanding them

Thats so funny, when my parents come to visit us they have a hard time understanding whats on TV. Our TV tends to be topical and regional, so accents tend to be strong. I will speak to the BBC about this so that my fellow Americans can understand more television!!!
