The once a month dilemma

I started WW a week and a half ago, and all was going great until I started PMSing yesterday and ate everything in sight! I used 8 of my weekly allowance pts just last night!! I feel I have no control, I am like a beast! I want anything and everything chocolate....I had my lunch at 1 and it's not even three and I had two 2 pt snacks already and I'm craving another.....does anyone else have this problem? I don't know how to stop myself Chat Icon
even knowing I have to weigh in on Thursday isn't making a difference.

Re: The once a month dilemma

I know it's hard... try having some low point chocolate goodies on hand. Last week I was craving chocolate soooo bad, and had a delicious and satisfying chocolate snack:

1 cup of Swiss Miss No Sugar Added Hot Cocoa (I don't put as much water in because I love it extra chocolaty)

2 fat free devil food cookies from Archway - OMG, this are SO good!

Total points: 3!!!!!

Re: The once a month dilemma

that was my past week...I weighed in today and stayed the same.

My appetite is out of control during my period. Just don't buy any snacks and walk a lot.Chat Icon

Okay first, I would try and determine if you are truly hungry or eating out of emotion (stress, boredom, happiness, whatever).

If you really ARE hungry, i would stay away from the 2 pt snacks and opt for something healthier that will fill you up better. For example, you can have an apple and a glass of milk, or a piece of low fat cheese and a banana.

Also, don't be afraid to use your extra 35 points. They are there for exactly this reason, if you are hungry and need something extra.

If you think you are eating for a reason other then hunger, try drinking water or tea. Wait 20 minutes and see if you are still hungry. If you are, try and find a healthy yet filling snack.

Good luck!!! Remember, a moment of weakness doesn't mean the rest of the day has to be that way. It's never too late to get back on track! Chat Icon
