the phones in my house are going crazy

i found my phone unpluged, or if i am talking they are having static problems... any ideas on what this is? or is anyone having problems with a cablevision lines?

I had the phone static issue. They came out, checked all the lines in the house found out the problem was outside a bucket truck had to come out because there was water in the box at the street.

I have the same problem with cablevision and my phone. I was told by my friend that it is the wattage of your cordless phone that will cause this to happen. You need to have a higher wattage phone .. I think mine is 250 and they told me to get over 500 (or something like that.. I am not sure what the exact number is.. but if you call cablevision they will tell you).
