"the place" furniture in Farmingdale
I have heard they have a great selection there. I am wondering how quick their delivery service is. Thanks

STAY AWAY !!! There delivery is for the birds ! We ordered when we closed May 7 and didn't receive our items until end of July !!!! (last year). They have nice things but if you want fast delivery stick with Raymour and Flannigan. Great furniture, great value too and fast delivery. The items we received from The Place were the most expensive and I think they are holding up the least !

Same, took 3 months to get the furniture, they promised us 6 weeks. Furniture is quality, but they lie about lead times.

STAY AWAY!!!! My SIL ordered furniture over 3 months ago (DR set) and has not received it yet. Go to R&F or even try Tiffany Furniture next door to R&F. Also check out Ashley Furniture up the block.

See now I ordered my dining room, bedroom, den, and living room furniture there and they were great. I got everything on time and I even got my dining room set earlier than expected. I thought they were wonderful!

We ordered quite a bit of stuff from them too and they said 6 weeks and it was 6 weeks. No problems with delivery at all and they even came back to fix something with one of the chairs we ordered. We liked them a lot.

DH and I also didn't have a problem. We ordered the living room furniture in Sept (labor day weekend) and had it in Nov. It was ready way before then but we hadn't moved into our apartment yet.
We also got 4 years interest free financing.

We ordered our living room from there about 2 years ago, and our bedroom from there a few months ago...no problem with delivery either time.

Another "stay away" post - got my kids furniture there last year - it took like 5 months to come in - then on delivery day they show up with only 1 mattress & box spring but two beds. We ordered and paid for 2 - DH had already taken apart the cribs. They could not get us the rest of our order that day so DH and I had to quick get a babysitter and go to BJ's to get the mattress/boxspring so both kids had a place to sleep that night. When I called to complain, the customer service was TERRIBLE!!!!

I ordered my living room set, had major problems with the delivery. Would not recommend at all.
I came in with a diagram of my entry and stairs, every measurement possible - height width, angle - the salesman said no problem. This set will fit.
Huge problem when the couch would not fit up the stairs. It had to be taken apart and re-assembled in my living room. The kicker - I had to PAY EXTRA for the take apart and reassembly.
I was not a happy camper.

Read about them on Better Business Bureau... look into BBB before buying from ANY place... trust me... I wish I had gotten this advice from someone beforehand! DO yourself a favor and order your funiture from North Carolina... highpointfurnituresales.com ... We ordered a bedroom set through them and it came in 5 weeks... complete, no damage etc... and for 1k less than we would have paid up in NY
