the pool @ smithtown landing cc
It's our first summer as Smithtown residents and I was wondering if DH and I should get for the 2 year permit card to access the pool...
Is it generally for families? Would DH and I seem out of place by ourselves without kids?
Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated - TIA

Re: the pool @ smithtown landing cc
It's been years, decades actually, since I've been there, but I was there all the time growing up and loved it. I don't know if it's changed since then, but from what I remember there were 3 pools, a kiddie pool, a deep pool for diving and a third pool that didn't have a deep end. The two main pools were pretty big and separate from the kiddie pool, which also had a playground, btw. I'm pretty sure they used to section off one of the pools for adults only swim at certain times. Will they let you take a tour or give you a guest pass to try it out first before you commit to a 2 year membership?

Thank you! That's a very good question - about the tour. I'll call and see what they say. Thank you for your help!

I would go visit. I visited once and they were happy to let me in to view it. It's very nice.

Re: the pool @ smithtown landing cc
It's nice but there are not as many lounge chairs as I would have expected. Some people bring their own folding chairs. Also, I went there after the hurricane last year, thinking that they had showers and they either didn't or had only cold water ( can't remember). The locker room is nothing special but good enough as a place to go to the bathroom. The pools themselves were clean & nice. I'll be there this summer but I don't think I will take a full membership option. There is an in between option that looked good to me when I saw the chart w/ the choices.
