The Presidential Elections 2008- a tutorial?
I thought maybe we could use this post as a place where we could look up candiates platforms in the presidential election and have at hand information for those that don't have time to do their own research (better to help others make an informed decision, I think.)
so, this is what I have so far
Barack Obama's blueprint for change
Hilary Clinton issues
John Edwards for President
Bill Richardson change and experience
John McCain for President
Mitt Romney Strategy for a stronger america
Fred Thompson Security Unity Prosperity
Rudy Giuliani 12 commitments
Washington Post the 2008 Frontrunners
feel free to add any independents/other candidates or any info you find about the top 8.

Here's the NYT Candidates page. They also have a lot of resources about when the primaries are, how they work, etc etc.
NYT Candidates
ETA: You have to also keep in mind the political leanings of the palce you're getting info. WashPost is a right-wing paper and company (and I work for them!), and the Times is known to be elft of center. OnTV news it's really swayed. I watched a few political experts talk about how Obama is the most pro-abortion candidate ever and wants to raise taxes.

this is why I watch BBCWorldNews. it seems to be the most straightforward of any news cast.
