Re: The price of a photo
I understand that some people are skeptical... and maybe this letter isn't real, but the concept of writing to a photographer is real. I know, because I wrote to our photographer after my son was diagnosed:
I wanted to take a little time to truly thank you. I was thinking this morning (and my thoughts go on all sorts of tangents) that you had originally thought your mini sessions would be the end of Oct or beginning Nov. Wow are we happy that you did it oct 1!! We (and everyone) are cherishing these pictures of our family together. I printed out a picture for Alex to have at school (he saw max yesterday, but probably won't see him for 3 weeks and Max will look much different) and we have one in the hospital room. I am SO thankful that not only we had these done, but that you finished them so fast (without even knowing the situation!) We are so lucky to have these recent pictures of happy times and look forward to the next session of happy times.
Many people want to know what they can do and I wanted to let you know what you have already done, just by being your kind self. Those pictures will really help our strength!
These pictures were taken ONE week before DS was diagnosed. With a full head of luscious hair that I remember running my fingers in. The same hair I remember coming out in chunks. The same hair I look forward to growing back.
I don't think it needs to be professional pictures. I do thin it needs to be pictures that capture your family's personality:
