The results of my Recurrent Fetal Loss Panel
I went to my former OB's office and picked up my blood results, she told me they were fine and Good Luck.
This is what they stated for those interested in my case. Anticardiolipin ------------------- Cardiolipin IGG Autoantibodies Result <7GPL u/ml Cardiolipin IGM Autoantibodies Result <7MPL u/ml Cardiolipin IGA autoantibodies Result 9APL u/ml Lupus Anti Coagulant _________________ DRVVT Screen 27.9 seconds s DRVVT Screen Interpretation Negative for Lupus Anticogulant ANA Screen -------------------- Negative Homocysteine -------------------- L 2.0 ( ********* is that bad it the norm said 4.0-15.4????***************) PT/PTT ----------- Protime 13.7 PTT 29.4 INR Ranges 1.0 (********** isn't that low, is that bad**************) Factor V Leiden Muta ____________________ Normal Allele Detected I don't know what any of the above really means, or if any of that was checking for the MTHFR gene.. etc..
Please feel free to share with me what she might not have tested for.. etc
I truely appreciate your help and your care and concern in my post the other day!

Re: The results of my Recurrent Fetal Loss Panel
Your homocystein relates to MTHFR but I don't see the MTHFR test in there. There are differing views on this but I tend to subscribe with the fact that homocysteine does not matter in relation to fertility. If you are MTHFR you may have to take a blood thinner and a special type of folic acid mixed with B vitamins(Folgard, Metanex)
In reading Lisa's post this could also be a bacteria or infection-read Lisa's post and check outthe website she posted. Please print out that list I posted yesterday and ask your Dr to check you for whatever has not been tested. I know you are missing things there-my results were much longer. I want to look into a couple of things-I'll get back to you. Keep your chin up!

Re: The results of my Recurrent Fetal Loss Panel
I had some blood work done as well since I have Factor V Leiden and MTHFR. I know that the hematologist said that what is most important to test for with regard to miscarriages is anticardiolipin. At least in my case that is. I have to admit he wasn't the best hematologist but I did end up getting tested and it was negative. Regardless, my new doctor wants to put me on heparin once I am pregnant.

Re: The results of my Recurrent Fetal Loss Panel
FYI your INR is normal Q1 "Everybody on the list talks about their INR. I have no idea what mine is."
A1:If you are not on warfarin (=coumadin®) your INR is, in most circumstances, normal (i.e. around 1 – usually between approximately 0.8 and 1.2). If a patient is on warfarin (=coumadin®), I strongly advise him/her to become familiar with his/her INR, ask the physician for the value each time the INR is checked, and record it together with the warfarin (=coumadin®) dosing on a flow sheet (such as a coumadin® booklet or a spreadsheet).
If you can get through it read this about low homocysteine:

Thanks for looking that up for me since I'm real new to this. I want to go to that appointment with as much ammo as I can.

Re: The results of my Recurrent Fetal Loss Panel
Sorry I edited my post-maybe print that document and bring it with. It seems that low homocysteine relates to inflammation in your body which could affect implantation. Also lLaurie-demand that this Dr give you a MTHFR test.
