I don't think it is bad for you, although it does smell really bad  Would you freeze if you opened the windows for a little while...

i ended up having to turn it off. it was THAT bad...and my oven wasn't even super dirty.

Please open the window. They state that in the book, that it does give off some carbon monoxide and def can harm birds if you have any. Open the windows.

that's what I read and decided to turn it off. I had windows open, too.
I'd rather just clean it myself. Ugh.
