Re: The tick shot
no, mine get the all-in-one monthly pill. It repels tick, but is not for the immunization against lyme disease. Some of the immunizations scare me.

Re: The tick shot
My dog DOES have the Lyme vaccination. Maily because my older dog ended up being diagnosed with Lyme a couple of years ago. There is a lot of trees and brush where I live, so better to be safe than sorry again in my situation.

Re: The tick shot
I live on a park, and we are indeed at high risk. I might get it for the bigger dogs, but I hate loading up the little pups with so many shots. There is only so much a little dog can take before their system is changed

Re: The tick shot
I get all the shots, we live near woods and I have seen deer. I really don't want to deal with Lyme disease. I know they are saying the shots are overdone, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. Also, not to alarm anyone, but my friends dog died of kidney failure thought to be brought on by Leptospirosis. Apparently, the raccoons carry it in their urine and your dog can inhale it when sniffing raccoon pee. It usually shows up as kidney failure and is pretty fatal. Needless to say, Misty is vaccinated for that too.
