The waiting between sonos
It's killing me. I haven't seen the baby since 12 weeks and I don't go again until 15w4d. I have a week and a half left and it's killing me. I just want to know that our little one is doing ok and growing. I totally don't feel prego at this point besides being tired all the time and it makes me so nervous!!!!!

Re: The waiting between sonos
Im 17 wks and my last sono was at the 12 weeks and I dont go again until 20 wks. So YES I totally feel your pain!! I want to see this little baby and know he/she is growing and healthy! I think I feel it now so that helps, but I've convinced myself its gas not the baby

Re: The waiting between sonos
I agree its hard. I went from 12w to 19w and then was going to have to go to 35w before having another one but this week @ 28w I was a little concerned about not feeling movement and got a sono...couldn't really see much though because she is bigger now, but it was enough to know she is doing okay.

Re: The waiting between sonos
Oh my goodness I would totally go nuts if I had to wait till 20 weeks!! I know I get one at 16 weeks and then 20 but after that the dr didn't say. I wish I could just press a button and peek inside....like when I'm baking and turn the light on in the oven to make sure everything is good.

Re: The waiting between sonos
the wait from 7w to 12w killed me. Luckily I switched practices and their protocol includes a new-patient sono so I got one at 11w2d which made the wait for my NT scan at 12w1d a lot more bearable.
Plus, we bought a doppler from ebay which let us pick up the hb at home beginning around 12w. We use it about twice a week and it has helped me relax tremendously. My last appointment was 14w and I was pretty calm. It is also making the wait until my next sono (16w1d) more bearable.
After that I think I get one more at 20-22w, one at 32w, and that could be it? Hopefully by that point I'll have confirmation from the level 2 that all looks good and will be feeling the baby kick

Re: The waiting between sonos
I just had my 1st sono and already I'm anxious for another. My next one won't be until 12w and then around the same time my NT scan. With DS I felt like they were more often....maybe I just forgot how long it really is between sonos!

Re: The waiting between sonos
I barely even got sonograms. I had one at 8wks and then no more until 20 wks. But we did listen to the heartbeat at every appt at least.

Re: The waiting between sonos
I know how you feel. The last sono I had was at 12w and I am currently 18w5d. DH wasn't able to attend the 12w appt because the hospital switched my appt because of the snow we were having. He's probably even more anxious than I am to see the baby. We're anxiously counting down until our level 2 in a couple of weeks.

Re: The waiting between sonos
I was the SAME way in between appointments. I had 4 sonos in the beginning from 5weeks to 8 weeks. Then I had to wait the 4 weeks in between to 12 and 16 and then 20. It was torture!!!
But I will say, that now as I am approaching my 24th week appointment, I realize I am not as anxious as I was for the others. Excited, but not having anxiety over it. I think it's because now I feel her move on a regular basis so it keeps me happy
Don't worry - we all have been there. Once you get to the point where your LO moves around, you will feel better during the "4ww".

Re: The waiting between sonos
yes... this part is annoying. And as you get towards the end.. it gets even worse because the sono's are even further apart!!
You will get there. I know it's hard though. but time keeps going so it's on your side!!!

Re: The waiting between sonos
The wait wasn't too bad for any of my sonos...except the 20w to 32 weeks. I go for my 32w on Tuesday. Can't wait to see my little man again! The only thing that has kept sane is the fact that I can feel my lil one moving around all day long. So, that is more exciting than any sonogram could be.

Re: The waiting between sonos
I've been getting sonograms every 4 weeks since 8 weeks because of a cyst they noticed so I love the little sneak peaks and the tech goes crazy with the pics...I leave with about 20 each time lol! But mostly because I haven't felt any movement yet, or at least I don't think I have. I'm 19 weeks and I'm trying to decipher gas bubbles or baby flutters lol? I can't wait to be able to say that it's definitely the baby dancing in there!

Re: The waiting between sonos
I just had my 3rd sono at 16 weeks - and I was hoping I would find out the gender of this baby - but it was not cooperating - so now i have to wait until 3/21 for the anatomy scan. That is the main reason I'm impatient - I just want to know if it's a girl or boy bouncing around in there!
