OMG - That was brutal at the end - I was crying! Glad the storyline is over - but what a heartbreaking way to wrap it up!
I'm sad that it's over for now - but at least we only have to wait til February! Love this show!

I thought for sure the last walker was going to be Hershel's wife. I was really shocked that it was Sophia. What a powerful ending.
Does anyone think Hershel knew that Sophia was in the barn? At first I though he did but when I was watching The Talking Dead, they said that Otis was the one that found Sophia and put her in the barn and I am assuming that he didn't get a chance to tell Hershel thanks to Shane

it really was an intense episode. I had a feeling it was Sophia, when you heard the rustling of someone else coming out I looked at my DH and said omg it's going to be Sophia! I'm glad they finally know, but it was so sad.

omg! I teared up when I saw it was Sophia ...I really hope Hershel didn't know. When she came out of the barn, I really didn't know who was going to step up and shoot her. I'm glad the search is over...I wonder if they will be forced to leave...but some of the previews look like they are still on Hershel's farm. I didn't watch the Talking Dead or see the Preview during the next AMC show what was on...

That ending was GREAT. So powerful.
The last 10 minutes when Shane and T-dog, Glen, Andrea were shooting all the walkers coming out of the barn..the look on Herchel's face  It was so sad too.
I am really annoyed about this mid season finale stuff. Waiting until February with such a good ending last night is going to be hard!

ITA but DH works for AMC and he said that the reasoning behind the break is because zombies really aren't all that "holiday or festive" like 
Anyway, I think I forgot to breath during the last 10 min. That was like an adreneline rush! At first, when Shane came back and Dale was no where I thought for sure he killed him. Once Rick came back though and that whole scene started I just hung my mouth open. And then to see Sophia's shoes . I was part shocked, part hyperventilating, part crying by the end.
My heart really went out to Hershel though. You could see that when Shane went nuts and started shooting the zombie he was holding and she wouldn't die he finally got it. The look on his face at the end when his wife and step son were killed was heartbreaking. I can't wait to see where this goes in Feb!!

great episode!!
I am kind of upset about Sophie but I figured at this point she had to be a zombie. I assume nobody knew she was in there and i feel so bad for her mother!
Am I the only one who doesnt really like Shane? I think he was an assss for what he did last night!

I think they did a great job, ending the mid-season the way they did.
I cried so much when Sophia came out. I kind of figured she was a zombie, but to actually see it and see her mother fall apart, that was tough.
So now there is speculation that the baby can be Shane's. Hmm, I wonder if they will touch that in the next season.

In that they say that it could be either or for the father of the baby.
I believe it is Shane's baby. We have no clue how long Rick was in the hospital for during the zombie attack.
They also said Season 1 was a couple of days. Season 2 is months.... The characters make hints in their statments when they refer to the time line. It seems that it was almost 2+ weeks since Sophia went missing.

Didn't Laurie and Rick sleep together the first night they reunited? I am pretty sure they did. I am gonna have to watch Season 1 again.

I tried staying up, but always fall asleep. 
She was gone that long? Wow, I thought it was only a couple of days. I think it's Rick's. Because if it was Shane's, it should have shown up in her blood work at the CDC, right?

That's what I thought the guy at the CDC whispered to Rick. I thought he told Rick that Lori's blood work showed she was pregnant. But now I'm thinking that can't be what he whispered to him b/c Rick was too surprised by the news when he found the pills and he just doesn't seem like the type of guy who would sit on that info. I'm leaning more towards Rick's baby tho. Lori and Rick def slept together when he got back from being "dead". Plus, I feel like the time has got to be longer since this season started because Carl was shot, had "surgery" and seems almost fully recovered. That has got to take at least 2-3 weeks - esp not being in a hospital or anything. The time line is so unclear though that it's almost impossible to tell

I forgot about the CDC guy and the whisper! But I think your right. I don't think that is what he told Rick.
I do believe that Rick and Lori slept together either the first or second night. But who knows how many times Lori and Shane were together before that.
I love this show so much. I didn't expect to like it at all!

Sorry just watched off my DVR
The whole episode was just "OK" until the last 10 minutes! That was intense!
I def turned to my DH when we heard rustling and said - "Sophia!" Glad we can put that story to rest!
But Hershel only kept family memebers and loved ones in there...so why was Sophia even in there?!?! Who or why did they capture her? And they KNEW that their visitors were looking for a little girl..why didnt they tell them!
The baby is DEF Shane's - needed for the added Drama...It would be too easy and "boring for tv" if it was her husbands! HAHA!

My theory on this is that Otis caught her and put her in there. And unfortunately, never got the chance to tell people she was there in the whole Carl surgery rush.
Either he knew who she was and was waiting to tell her mother OR grabbed her because she was a child and felt badly for her.
I thought I remember hearing during one episode that Otis went out to catch walkers.
