The WAZE app
Love this app, and sometimes I'll use it to check the traffic for the best route on the way to work, but then I click stop navigation because I dont need it to guide me, I just want to see which way it thinks is the fastest. But even when I click stop navigation, it still talks the entire way and eats my data & battery. Anyone know how to turn it off?

It's going to eat data and battery anytime you have it on, whether you are getting directions or not.

How do I power off the app? I click stop navigation and click my home button, but it still talks to me even though the app isnt open.

I loved this app, however the past 3 times I used it, it brought Me behind the location I was going to. Like in a dead end, behind a parking lot.

For traffic it's great, for directions, not so much. It makes me go around the block instead of going straight.
Get a car charger if you're worried about it eating your battery. Data it will use as long as it's open or if you use push notifications.

To Close or Stop an App...press the HOME button twice then you will see all your open apps, then swipe up the WAZE App and that shuts it off.
