How is this pro-CF?? Now the Pope is making me, a devout Catholic, feel bad:
"" People think it is better or easier "to have a puppy, two cats, and the love goes to the two cats and the puppy. Isn't this true or not? Have you seen this?" he asked the people in the congregation.
"And in the end, this marriage will end in old age in solitude, with the bitterness of bad solitude.""

This from the guy whose name is taken from the patron saint of animals?
Anyway. I do think that he's done some good things so far as the Pope, but overall, he's just another person that puts his pants on one leg at a time IMO.

This sticks out to me more then anything. We are CF NOT by choice and this statement really bothers the shit out of me. Is my marriage any less than ones with children? sure, I was hoping for a different life, but "god" took that option away it seems. I'd love to hear his view on that! And if adoption is the answer, I'd ask him for the $$$ for it

I can argue that "God made me this way", made me CF NOT by choice. I've been punished already, now I will have to live my life with bitterness and in solitude ?
My CF NOT by choice sort of morphed into CF - we didn't go the adoption route. My life still has meaning, I just haven't added to the population.
Could be worse, I could 'have' to be celibate.

This coming from a man and church that doesn't permit them (and releases them from the burden) to have children. It's all whoooey pooey. Whatever Mr. Pope man, keep your judgment to yourself....what did Jesus say about casting stones...

I'm choosing to interpret it as anti-pet. We can't have pets either, so the love goes to our gaggle of nieces. Have I found a loophole?

Thank God I'm Lutheran and don't have some guy who's not allowed to get married and have kids tell me how to live my life...at least Lutheran pastors are allowed to marry and have kids..why don't you look into that one Mr. Pope...maybe your own church needs to change it's ways
I'm off to hug my dog now and give it all my love
