There is something wrong with my FACE!!!
I looked in the mirror at work today and the sides of my chin are darker then the rest of my skin. WHAT IS THIS???? My skin was great until the 3rd trimester and now it is breaking out and changing color???? It looks like my face is dirty just around my chin

I went for a facial yesterday and the lady at front desk was telling me about something called pregnancy face or something similar. Its a pigment change on your face, it goes away after giving birth, just takes awhile.

I think it's called the mask of pregnancy...hopefully it will go away soon. I got it somewhat and it just added to my now super huge nose

Re: There is something wrong with my FACE!!!
It is called Melasma (the mask of pregnancy) and is caused by the additional hormones.(I think the Estrogen) You MUST put sun lotion on, as the sun makes it go darker, it will fade after pregnancy. If you can put a factor 45 on your face, Aveeno makes a good one. It is the same hormones that give some women the Linea Nigra (the line of life) that goes down your belly from the the belly button towards your pubic bone. Don't worry it will fade, just keep the spf on it
