There really are nice people
left in this world...I lost my wallet on Friday with all my information in it - credit cards, license even my Social Security card - (I KNOW I shouldn't carry it - I needed it because I was planning on going to have my last name changed since I just got married a month ago...)
Can you believe that the person that found it came to my house and dropped it off  Everything was in there as I left it - he was an older man from Sri Lanka - he said he had lost his belongings when he arrived in this country and a "nice American" returned them to him - I tried to give him some money to say Thank you but he wouldn't take it- he just told me to do the right thing if I was ever in a situation like he was... Just thought I would share a nice deed story

Wow, how sweet!!! I think about this sometimes when I hear someone lost something important--aren't there other people out there like me & others I know that would do the right thing and try to return it (at least, turn it into the store or wherever I found it).

I had a similar experience. A woman found my wallet at a rest stop and dropped it off with the local police. She e-mailed me to let me know she found it. I sent her an e-mail back thanking her profusely.
Unfortunately she never got my e-mail and thought I was ungracious and sent me an email telling me so but thats not the point.
There are good people in this world. We have to always rememebr that.
