Thermometer
After 5 hours on non-stop crying and not being sure if my son was sick or just gassy, I have decided to buy a thermometer tomorrow...can you suggest to me what kind is good or if you have had a good or bad experience with one kind or another.
thanks again ladies. R

Re: Thermometer
Rectal is the best way when they are babies. Vicks just came out with a digital one specifically for rectal.

Re: Thermometer
I would suggest avoiding the ear ones. The ear canals are too small to get an accurate reading per my pediatrican.
For an infant, we bought the thermometer pacifier (if he will take one) or the disposable stickers that take an ancillary temp are good because you can leave them on & check on him.
eta. Rectal is the most accurate way to take a temperature, but be prepared when you take one.

Re: Thermometer
I have a "10 second" rectal by safety 1st that I really like because there is a bump line on the tip to show you where to stop putting it in -- and it also has a flexible tip. I think it was only like $9.99 at BRU also.

I have the Vicks one and like it. I bought it at CVS.
