These Omaha Steak people are really annoying

I ordered once from them and I found the food to be so so, would not care to order again.

It doesn't bother me that they still send me stuff in the mail. One time they called me and I asked them not to call me again and that's been fine.

TODAY...I went home for lunch to rest (I'm 35 weeks pregnant) and this guy comes up to my door. I was actually heading out of the house to my car to return to work and he said he's so and so from Omaha Steaks and wanted me to take a couple of minutes to go over to his truck that he parked on the side of my house and look at his products. I had the *** look on my face said NO, I'm going to work. He just did this hand up in the air good bye wave turned around and left.

Freakin' people man. I think that's totally annoying.

I would call and tell them they are NOT to solicit your business any longer. Tell them to remove you from every mailing list, calling list, and anything else.

they call my house at least 3x per week. they wont even talk to DH - they just want me. I told them I still had stuff from the last order (which is true) and to stop calling

I've read of their annoying sales practices before. Everytime I get a catalogue I think of that, and even though the steaks look so good, they dont look good enough for all that harrassment.

I called Omaha Steaks of Plainview for those of you that don't know this is the only store in NY you can visit & purchase O.S prodcuts.

The man I spoke to said it wasn't them and said it sounded like you got a visit from a vendor called Verizon Foods (anyone hear of them???) and independant distributor and that they have no affiliation with them.

I said how could that be the guy mentioned Omaha Steaks and is selling the prodcuts right from the truck AND they guy came to my door. I asked if my information was being sold. He couldn't tell me that but he said that wouldn't make sense because they are independant and have nothing to do with O.S

Then he gave me the # to Omaha Steaks customer care service. The woman I spoke to said pretty much the same thing and that they have been getting many calls and complaints from these people. THey said some people would buy the products and they aren't that good and they would call and complain. When they would tell them they purchased it off the truck they would tell them that wasn't us. She said if the guy comes again to get a license plate # or ask for his card and report it to O.S customer service.

I asked her about O.S selling my info and she said they would not do that and it could possibly be that he was going door to door in my neighborhood.

So beware guys.

Call Horizon Foods and get off their list ASAP!

I wouldn't want anyone coming to my door.

Then call Omaha and find out if they have sold your information. Tell them to take you off EVERY LIST *AND* tell them you want verification in writing that you are off their lists and that letter is the last communication you will receive from them.

It's funny that this is on here, because a guy came into our office today trying to sell steaks and he was wearing an Omaha Steaks shirt. I didn't think he was from Omaha.

Wow, I order from them all the time, and I never get calls from them yet alone someone coming tomy door. Ladies be careful when you answer the door, there's a lot of crazy people out there.
