What's the latest on the officer's conditions??
I saw this yesterday quickly, on the cover of the paper, while in a Deli and was horrified- it upset me for the rest of the day.
I hope they are OK!!!!

I don't know what their conditions are.
They just had a "breaking news" on channel 7 that said they caught the guys in PA.. one is in custody and the other ran into the woods and they are searching for him now.

I hope they find him and that no one gets hurt (meaning the Police- I don't care if that SOB who did this gets hit by a bus  )

This mornings papers had Officer Yan walking out of the hospital with a sling on saying he's doing great. The other officer (Russian last name) is not so good. The MD's want to take him off life support and are suggesting donating organs. His family is irate saying he is going to be fine and just wait. They think it is too soon to take him off life support.

I work in that neighborhood just about 3 or 4 blocks away. I could not get to work that morning because they had my route blocked for the investigation.
The cops in this precinct are amazing willed men and women. I always feel safe knowing they protect the neighborhood. NOBODY deserves this. I truly hope these sociopaths fry for what they did. Enough is enough already.

It is going to take a while for the family to come to terms with this. Having had a family member on life support, it is the most heart and gut wrenching thing in the world. It hasn't sunk in and they need time. I will pray that this young officer knows no pain and awareness of his situation. He should have peace and his family should have justice.

I haven't heard the news yet, I hope they catch the other pathetic coward that ran into the woods. My heart goes out to the officers and their families. Here they are just trying to do their jobs and have these sorry excuses for human beings do this to them. I have great admiration for all members of law enforcement who risk their lives on a daily basis as I for one, aren't that brave.

from what i am told, where the officer was shot in the face, the bullets went through and severed his spine. so even if he were to pull through no one should have to make such a decision. no one should have to go through such a tragedy. may the officer be in peace - my thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

Seeing as how DH is a police officer ...I am THRILLED beyond belief that they caught these 2 losers!! I'm grateful he is with another county and not part of NYPD!! I don't know if I'd be able to sleep at night.

The Russian officer,whose name I won't even attempt to spell, is still in grave condition. The other officer has been home for a few days now. They found the guys in the Pocono mountains and connected one to other crimes. Bostick (I think that is the spelling) has been connected to the shooting death of a car salesman in 5 towns.

Torture them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have no other words!
And my brother STILL will be going into the academy..our hearts are broken. Even my dad, who is a retired 20 nypd detective has begged him not to..but its what he wants.
They were found right where my dh used to live and my sister in law lives now with her kids. SCARY!
God bless the officer! I pray his family makes the right decision.

I believe the reason they want to continue to keep him on life support was to wait for some doctor from Russia to help him out...this is so heartbreaking...such a young guy who had so much going for himself and put his life in the line of duty...to protect us all...and these C O C K $UCKERS shoot him in the face...

This whole situation makes me sick. DH is a cop (not NYPD) but he works in a horrible area in Nassau and things like this make it very hard for me to sleep at night. I hope they torture those pieces of $hit
