they sell expired yobaby yogurt at stop&shop
Last week I got some yobaby for my dd, she was crying so much that I just wanted to get out, so I just threw the yogurt in the cart without looking at it, I came home to discover that it expired the day before, so I took it back yesterday and went to get another one, THEY WERE ALL EXPIRED, my DH spoke to the manager and he "apologized" my DH went back little later and they were still there, and the worst part is they put the yogurt that we returned, back on the shelf with all the other ones. I am shocked at this, how could this be happening, the worst part is that it's not like we can go to another store, this is the only store that is close to us and is convenient to take the baby . I am shocked by this whole thing, I mean this is baby food we are talking about.
What would you do? and Where can I report them if I decide to do so?

It is like that at every supermarket - you have to be very careful about expiration dates - ON ALL OF YOUR FOOD, not just baby food

They do it at the S&S I go to as well! I don't buy it anymore. Now I give him plain greek yogurt.

Sorry to crash - but you should call the store and find out who the District Manager is and see if you can get in touch with them.

the one in Maspeth Queens , I have been trying the district manager all day , never called me back and never answered the phone, I am fuming
OH and I just spoke to the same manager that I spoke to the first time , and he says to me I am sorry mam I will make sure this doesn't happen again, I went crazy screaming at him "ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! this is exactly what you said to me a week ago". seriously between the BPA scare and this they are going to drive me nuts,LOL.

This happened to me at the one in South Setauket. It actually happened twice, once I forgot to check the label and once DH did. I was able to exchange it. I also let them know and they said they would make sure someone pulled them from the shelves.

You have to be kidding...THAT'S the Stop & Shop I was talking about. I don't even buy it from there anymore!!!!!!
ETS: And it happened to me all the time I just never said anything. Or it would expire that week.

I had that happen with eggs at stop and shop and when I told the assistant manager he didn't seem to care. I called corporate. I now check EVERYTHING before I put it in my cart.

Hmmmm, and they won't take back or allow me to exchange my unopened, sealed, and well before the expiration date bottles of Similac ready-to-feed for sanitary reasons. Makes me mad!

OK SO I just called 311 and they connected me to NY state dept of agriculture and markets , they said that's where all the supermarket complaints go to , at that dept they told me that THERE IS NO "DATE LAW" IN NY, UNLESS THE PRODUCT WAS SPOILED THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO  I told them that I saw them putting the yogurt I returned back to the shelf .
so they said they are going to send someone to the store and check everything and look for expired products, open them up and if they see that they are spoiled they will take action, if they don't find anything spoiled, than they will "give them speech about expired products"
I just can not believe that there is no "date law" and that there is nothing you can do if store is selling expired product.

I have seen expired yogurt (for me) at almost every supermarket. I always check the dates.

We don't have that problem with the S&S by us - but no matter where I shop I always check the dates on things - I noticed walbaums used to do that a few years ago - so I now check the dates on everything before I buy it - I think the stores hope you won't notice it until you get home and then you won't take it back.
I would call corporate of S&S and write a complaint to them with the managers name etc.

Isn't yogurt something they can sell a few days past the expiration date? I wouldn't give it to DS, but I thought it was good for a few days past the date.
