They should rename M/S to all day sickness
I am 6w2d and since Friday night have not moved far from the bed b/c it's pretty close to the bathroom. The only things I can stomach are saltines with peanut butter and ginger ale. I called MIL and we told her b/c I really needed suggestions (she is very big in the medical field and extremely knowledgeable) She suggested peppermint tea, coke, and just about anything peppermint. So I sent DH to the store and he loaded up on peppermint goodies for me. Right down to peppermint patties
How am I going to get through 6 more weeks of

One thing that I recommend to all new preggos are the Preggie Pops which are sold in all Motherhood stores as well as BRU!

I had it bad with my 1st pregnancy, and nothing helped except eating small meals every 2 hours, peppermint helped me a little.

Re: They should rename M/S to all day sickness
Preggie drops! They help a lot. If it continues to be really fbad you can ask your Dr. about Zofran. I started with all day MS at 6 weeks and around 9 weeks was still getting sick all day long so my Dr. started me on Zofran. It was the only thing that got me through the day at work. I took it until about 14 weeks and then suffered through sporadic MS until about 18-19 weeks. Good luck! It does pass and amazingly you somehow block out how bad it was.

Re: They should rename M/S to all day sickness
Thanks luvnlife. I'll have to talk to my doctor if it gets bad.
I've even put on sea bands as it says on the box they work for morning sickness. So far they have helped a little.

You can also try lemon drops. They helped me through some rough days.
Hope you feel better!

Re: They should rename M/S to all day sickness
This is the part I dread about getting preggo again
For me, milkshakes did the trick. They coated my stomach. I was able to keep them down.
I also drank gingerale every morning before lifting my head up off the pillow.
Unfortunately mine seemed to last forever. I hope you find relief soon!

Re: They should rename M/S to all day sickness
If it's really unmanageable you should talk to your ob/gyn about Zofran - it's a pill they give to chemo patients for the nauseau and happens to work wonderfully for m/s. My m/s lasted the whole pregnancy and I just couldn't take it when I had to be in the courtroom (attorney) so my ob/gyn prescribed it to me - my isnurance only covered like 20 pills a month so I only used them when the nauseau was just horrible.

Re: They should rename M/S to all day sickness
Thanks everyone. The peppermint is really helping. The hard candies have become my best friend. I have them stashed all over the house and in my car. Everyone in my office is freezing and I feel like ripping my clothes off I am so hot.
I felt so sick this morning I didnt even have the energy to put my contacts in.
