Thinking about getting my master in elem ed...UPDATED with another question
where can i go to get it that offers night classes and that i can get it done as fast as possible?
i already have a masters in spec ed k-12.
dowling vs cw post? is one school better than the other? or does it not matter as long as you have the degree?

I know this wasn't the info you were looking for but you might want to look into getting your masters in a different field. I am watching many people fighting for and having little luck finding elementary ed positions on LI. If you aren't dead set on it you may want to consider other options if you are looking for a LI schools to work for. JMO and good luck with whatever you choose.

I agree. And I agree with the poster above about Dowling. I got my masters in just over a year going ALL year and taking 12 credits per semester (6 in the winter and summer sessions)

I got my masters in El. ed at Hofstra, I took all night classes and worked full time during the day.

i prefer teaching speci ed, however i have no public school classroom experience and was told that is why i wont get hired here on li. so, i was thinking about getting my elem cert so i could get student teaching experience. plus alot of positions are requiring dual certification anyway. i appreciate all of the help.
