Thinking of getting thermal curtains....
I love the energy saving factor.
My one concern...I love the brightness of my first floor and I wonder if these curtains will make it dark. I would probably get tiebacks for the tall windows in my diningroom. But for the sliding glass doors I figure I'd just let the panels hang.
Anyone here with thermals care to elaborate? I really wanted to keep the room bright...just weighing the pros and cons here.
TIA!

Re: Thinking of getting thermal curtains....
I have thermal panels in our great room. We have two sliding glass doors & a large bow window. That side of our house faces north & we get a wicked cold wind that blows over the lake & into that side of our house. The thermal drapes make a HUGE improvement. I rarely open the ones on the doors & it is much darker, we have two skylights as well so that helps. When we are home I try to open the set on the bow window to let light in. I'm willing to sacrifice the daylight for the energy efficiency. I got them at marburn curtain warehouse, they were a fraction of the cost at other places.
ETS-as soon as the weather starts to warm up I swap them for sheers.

Re: Thinking of getting thermal curtains....
Thanks so much! Here are the ones I'm checking out on JC Penney.com...I'm having a hard time finding ones I like that aren't just solid colors.

Zoom to see the cool pattern! We're gonna get it in jadestone. What I might do for our sliding glass doors is get a set of sheers to fill in the rest of the window so it's not so dark. The tall windows will have tiebacks.
Sorry I'd make it a link but my pop up blocker is giving me hell!
