This comes up at the end of every season, but....what do you think?
Not that the it's the end of summer, but the sales are in full force and I am thinking about next summer.
DD is 20 months old.
She currently wears these sizes:
Tops - 2T (definitely room to grow
Pants - 18-24
Bathingsuits - 18-24
Dresses - mostly 18-24.
Do kids grow a lot between age 2-3?
Do you think she's be in a 2T by next summer or a 3T? She will be 2 1/2.
Any insight would be great!

I'm buying 3T stuff for next summer for DD. She's on the smaller size and wearing 18-24 months pants and 2T shirts & swimsuits now. She'll turn 3 at the end of June so I feel safe buying 3T for next summer.

I have no idea. I am in the same boat, DD will be two in August and I don't know what to buy for next year.
I hate to miss out on the good deals but I don't want to be stuck with clothes that won't fit.
Such a conundrum!

same here-going to be buying 3T for next summer. DD turned 2 in june and weighs 26 lbs and is about 31 inches i think. she's in 2T now 18-24 pants

What size was she over the winter?
DS was a 18M-2T on top for the Winter and 18 months on bottom.
Now he is 3T for tops (the 2T are really fitted) and 3T on shorts. Both 3T with LOTS of room. Some 2T shorts fit him. He is 2T in pants.
For this Winter, I got 3T tops and bottoms.
For next Summer, 4T

I am never buying stuff in advance again! I learned my lesson. While pregnant last summer, I bought her all of these clothes for 3-6, 6-9 and 6-12...well, she's almost 7 months and the 6-12 is SLIGHTLY baggy on her. She will be in 12-18 way before 12 months. I am just going to have to buy as she grows from now on.

Thank you!! You just reminded me that I have an actual excuse to go shopping!!
I got 2T for her this summer, and they're still pretty big on her, so I'll get 3T next summer and hopefully, she can wear some of the 2Ts with the new 3Ts.

I feel like you do, I am just not sure what to purchase this time around. I got him some clothing at the end of winter sales (blue jeans, cords, herringbone dress pants and a jacket for the holidays. I think that the clothing should fit by September but I am still not sure. I am going to hold off buying this time b/c I feel like I can't predict where he will be next summer. DS is already in 3T tops and 24 month/2T shorts.
