This is exactly why you dont buy monogramed presents before a baby is born..
My godmother's daughter had a baby last night! We were all very anxious for baby Haggerty's arrival (2 weeks late)!
For her shower, she received all these items with the babies name on it (Charolette). When they saw the baby (apparently the baby looks VERY Irish) they have decided that the name just doesn't fit!
Now, what does one do with all of these personalized baby things?

That's why we never told people our definite name choice before she was born. We didn't want people calling her by the name or buying anything with the name on it... just not a fan of that.
I just got a baby shower invite the other day and the unborn baby's name was on the invite.

sell them on ebay honestly.
My friend in FL did that to us. Actually she had the same monogram, but went from Mallory to Molly so anything personalized went out the window.

we never told anyone what we were naming DS, and with DD whether it fit her or not her name was going to be Carmela (after my mother)
and my friends did ask if they can get personalized things for DD and i oked it.

I think my DS' name was on our invite....but he is a III, short of him being a girl, that was going to be his name...
But I didn't get a lot of personalized things, I think that supersitions got the best of people...
