This is not going to be healthy but quick fix diet help needed
So I am at a cross road. I am retaining fluid like crazy so I need a diet to help me lose weight but mainly water weight as I cannot handle the side effects of my prescibed water pills. So if you know of any restrictive diets that can help me accomplish this or have ideas please feel free to chime in.
Long term use of water pills at the dosage my doc has me on comes with risk so I need to get a handle on this fluid retention on my own

From my experience reducing sodium intake will reduce water retention. Sodium makes you hold on to fluid so the lack of sodium should help you flush it. Without knowing the cause of your rentention, Im thinking you will probably need to eat a very clean diet. No processed foods that pump salt into them. Lean meats, fish, fruit, veggies, salt free nuts etc.
Also the more fluid you bring into your body, the less your body retains...it flushes out excess whatever you don't need. So drinking probably 2-3 liters a day and eating water based fruit and veggies could help.
I'm not an expert but that's all I know.
Good Luck!

With your health issues your insurance may pay for nutritionist! You should call them and see.
Until then try eating more fruits and veggies. Cut out the soda and drink tons more water. Throw out anything in your house that is made with white flour and by whole wheat/grain substitutes.

Re: This is not going to be healthy but quick fix diet help needed
I followed the cabbage soup diet to jump start my weight loss and I lost 10 lbs in about a week and kept it off for over a month now.
It was noticable, I lost most in my belly.
I am actually planning on following it again next week to see if it works the same this time around.
I actually only followed it for 5 out of 7 days the last time.

I would recommend a cleanse. I did the Gm diet (do a search you can download it for free) and its mostly just eating fruit and veggies. I lost 10 pounds in a week. Its not the most healthy way to lose. But, alot of people do cleanses and as long as its not more than once a month. Its hard but, I felt great afterward.
