I have the same exact one. I got this one because it also has maps of Western Europe (for an add'l unlocking fee). I've had it for about a year. I love it. My only gripe with it is that sometimes in the cold weather the suction cup which attaches the unit to the window will come loose. To resolve that I just run the windshield vent with hot air for a few minutes and then it sticks fine.
Oh and be careful when parking...many thieves are going around looking for GPS 'supports' on car dashboards and will break in to the car to look around and see if the owner has left the GPS unit in there. So don't leave the unit in the car. You don't want to lose an expensive investment.

I love the Magellan GPS. We bought one and use it everywhere!
We used it in Hawaii, NY, Boston, Florida, Texas, California, etc. It is the most awesome invention.

My friend has the 300 and just updated the software. He is the one that recommended the 800 to me.
I will make sure that I either take the suction cup off the window or I take the GPS out of the car.
I wonder if it comes with a case...

Not sure if the 800 has software updates. I recently dowloaded a firmware update though.
Mine came with a neoprene 'pocket' for the unit to slide into and carry away.
The touch screen is great.
