totally agree... I know what Michael Phelps did is totally awesome, but there are so many amazing stories untold and overshadowed by the "famous" athletes... I wish we knew more about other athletes just like her...

I am truly dissapointed.
11 pages of the Micheal Phelps swimsuit being too low thread and only 2 responses to this.
Ok, couple of things...
The Michael Phelps thread has become more of a banter and joking around than anything else. His thread about his acomplishments doesn't have NEARLY as many as the one about him and his suit.
Yes, this story is amazing and that girl is a true inspiration to all amputees. However, I don't think it's getting over shadowed b/c of Michael Phelps, I think it has more to do with the fact that she's South African and not American that she's not receiving as much US coverage in the media.
As for having more heart than Michael Phelps, well, I guess that's your opinion and that's cool, but I respectfully disagree. Michael Phelps has some serious heart! Just because he hasn't had a physical set backs doesn't mean he's got less heart.
I think ALL olympic athletes have TREMENDOUS heart, how else did they get to the level in which they compete? Well besides LOTS of practice!!  but I know you get what I'm saying...
I don't know, I think generally speaking all the athletes in the olympics have a lot of heart and to say someone shows more than another, well, I just don't see it or agree with it.
But hey, differing opinions... that's what makes the world go round, right?!
