This kid will NOT stop eating...
He's 7 weeks old.
At 6:30 he nursed for 40 minutes and then had 2 ounces of formula.
At 10:30 he nursed for 40 minutes and then had 2 ounces of formula.
At 1:30 he had a 6 ounce bottle of formula.
An hour ago polished off 4 ounces of BM and a 2 ounce bottle of formula.
Now he's fussing and rooting again.
WTH?? He is a bottomless pit!!
The books say he should be taking 4 ounces every 3 hours. I think he'd take 8 if I let him.
Anyone else's child eat like there is no tomorrow?

Re: This kid will NOT stop eating...
DS eats every hour and a half, and I let him eat until he is satisfied. Guess our kids have a big appetite!

Re: This kid will NOT stop eating...
Very normal... Breast Fed babies in the beginning usually nurse about every 2 - 3 hours...

Re: This kid will NOT stop eating...
mine would eat every hour for 10 minutes. My boob was constantly out.
That's great though, 40 minute feedings.

Re: This kid will NOT stop eating...
Sounds like a growth spurt. Nurse more often and it'll stimulate production...
They usually only last a few days thank god
