This may be the stupidest q ever but I'm just about 33 wks - is it ok to go in pools/ocean?

I'm headed away for the weekend to the shore...is it ok to go swimming in the hotel pool and the ocean? My mom told me she thought you couldn't go swimming in the last month? I'm not there yet but just wondering...

I feel silly to call my dr.'s office because I am afraid this is a totally stupid question.

absolutely OK, until your water breaks. Be careful at the shore though - you don't want to get knocked down by a wave.

I was in the pool until the day I went into labor (in fact I was jogging around the pool to encourage labor to start!)

Pools are great, just no hot tubs.

It's all good! I wouldn't go in the ocean (personally) because of the possiblility of being knocked down by waves. (And I am a VERY, VERY strong swimmer.) Maybe low tide will be nice up to your waist. Have a great time!!!!!!
