yep! you read that right.

I have eaten:

2 bananas
64 ozs h20
1 can seltzer
1 cup smooth move tea (with celestial seasoning NON caffenieted flavored tea)
shredded chicken taco (homemade) on a bed of lettuce, and ff cheese, and tiny bit of sour cream.

and i haven't pooped in days.

obviously the tea isn't helping. can you suggest something to help aid in getting the stuff out?

i have been doing advocare, so those vitamins may be making me constipated.

now, i just wanna GO!

Would rather something natural... :)

do prunes really work? juice okay? diluted with water, not sure i can take the flavor...

bananas are binding, so nix those!

prunes/prune juice have worked for me.

if its really bad peri-colace is very helpful. when i had surgery i didn't go for days and it did the trick!

I agree no more bananas!
Even a double dose of miralax doesnt help me but apples, eggs and coffee seem to help.
Not sure if you run at all but going to for a run ALWAYS helps me.
And I recently discovered a drop of peppermint oil in green tea miraculously works too.

This happens to me sometimes. Colace helps. I take one or two before bed and it usually works by the next morning(along with coffee). Occasionally i have to take it for a few days before things get moving! I always get constipated when I travel, so I start taking colace several days before I leave and it works!

No bananas!

Try this. Being you already have the Smooth Move tea.

Have a nice hot cup of that along with an apple!

Ugh, that's the worst. I had that problem while on chemo because the anti-nausea meds took away the nausea but constipation was a side effect of the meds...BLECH!

As others said, bananas are binding so stay away!!

Here's what worked for me:

Warm prune juice...just warm it a bit in the microwave. It's kinda gross but it gets things going. ETA: you could dilute it but I think as-is would have the best effect. Hold your nose and down a shot or two of it. Really, it'll work!

Lots of water (which I see you are doing)

Broccoli...I would steam it or have it in soup

Apple slices

Prunes, which really grossed me out but I bought ones that were orange-flavored and that helped

I also took stool softeners every day...three times a day.

And exercise. Now, granted, I couldn't do "typical" exercise on chemo because my body just wasn't up for it, but stretching and walking helped move things along.
I hope you feel better soon!

I have this problem ALL OF THE TIME! It's really terrible. I was taking Colace (1 pill 2 times a day) along with senakot, which is a natural laxative (2 pills twice a day) but I've had to up the senakot to 4 pills. I drink over a gallon of water a day and do not eat bananas or anything too binding (that I know of)
I feel your pain!

bananas are constipating.

i would suggest eating prunes (better than drinking the juice) or using a little miralax in any of your liquids.

Miralax works for me and when all else fails you could do an at home fleet enema. Gross I know but I had to do it once for a procedure and it worked within minutes.
No foods help me
What about activia yogurt? That's supposed to help...

I rarely have this issue- usually it's the opposite Chat Icon
But the one time I did recently, one dose of Miralax and I was good to go!
No pun intended

I feel for you. I deal with constipation fairly frequently. Try to have a probiotic yogurt for either breakfast or a snack. Stay away from bananas and rice- they're binding. Don't combine the smooth move tea with anything. Make sure you're steeping it for at least 10 minutes and drink the whole thing before bed. You should be going in the morning.
