This maybe a silly Q but can anyone tell me difference between Bellerose and Bellrose Village NY ?
Which one is better-as in- good schools, family oriented, good/easy commute to NYC.

Bellerose Village is a small town and it is gorgeous!!! The houses are beautiful and big.... the school district is floral park bellerose.....it's a very quaint little area of only a few blocks but when you drive through it ...you might just fall in love.
Bellerose is in queens and that is where I currently live...good school district but in my opinion not nearly as nice!! I live in a small coop complex off of little neck pkwy. It is good for the time being but not permanently. Bellerose is a huge area and its queens. The houses close together
Anyway, I'd love to live in Bellerose Village but the houses and taxes are high. We shall see tho! Hope that helps you!
oh by the way...bellerose village has the train right there...easy walkin to b/c it's a small village... LIRR
bellerose, queens...catch a bus...not near the subway line

I grew up in Bellerose. It was a very Irish Catholic area when I was growing up. It's considered Queens, so taxes are low. The area has changed considerably. A few of my friends' parents still live there, as do my grandparents.
Bellerose Village is considered Nassau. The houses are a lot larger than in Bellerose. I've always loved it there, but we cannot afford it.

We are interesed in co-ops in Bellerose. Soi I guess we'll see. can't afford the village.

the msot important difference:
Bellerose, NY = QUEENS. lower taxes, NYC schools
Bellerose Village = Nassau Co. higher taxes, small school district.
