This wholw ttc---anyone get really STRESSED to the point....
My question is kind of a ? and a vent together--
This TTC thing - I get so STRESSED that I end up grinding my teeth like a maniac @ night and have to sleep with my bleaching trays.
I am a flight attendant so I am gone on overnights quite a bit between my sched and his sched it can be a nightmare. I try to bid to be off when I think I am ovulating.
My point of the whole vent was to finally ask-
Does anyone ever feel like it was more fun to bd when you were trying not to get pregnant then it is to bd and get pregnant?? We were always so careful but yet carefree
DO you ever feel like taking the month off from this??
Sorry for the long vent - just sick and tired and a little frustrated with this process.
ETA- this month I was off for vacation and go back tomorrow but I am @ cd14
By the way- Deb G. if you see this- I feel like your avatar ( which I LOVE)
Edited- to remove some really personal stuff to spare dh in case certain people see this

Re: This wholw ttc---anyone get really STRESSED to the point....
i feel like......if i only knew this was going to be the case, i would have thrown out my BCP BEFORE my wedding!!!
it's so hard....you just have to think of the end result.....
and yes, there are months that i have "taken off" , but i always hope that during that month "off" I will get a surprise!
ETA: question for you - since you are a flight attendant, how does that work with your job when you get pregant? Until what point can you fly and do they give you a special leave when you cannot anymore? (in addition to maternity leave?)

Thanks for the advice, I think I am just having a bad day also knowing that I am going back to work tomorrow and am afraid I amy ovulate while I am gone.
To answer your ?----- We can fly up until we finish our 6th month ( I think) with Dr's approval. I donot intend to do that or even close to it.
We are eligible for some kind of short term diabliltiy and or unemployment ( still need to verify, not sure) . I know a lot of my flying partners usually stay out until 6 months after thier babies are born.

It is so hard!!! Sometimes I am so annoyed that we have to BD. I had a post about this not so long ago. There were some nice suggestions about how to keep the fun alive!
Good luck!!

I read, b/c I was interested to see if I did get PG before my med cruise next month , to fly and about radiation, it said that if you are going on vacation and its NOT frequent its ok- no radiation BUT if you are an air flight attendant you CANNOT work for the first trimester b/c you are exposed to A LOT of radiation from the airplane. ?

Hang in there...I do understand the stress and contemplated taking time off, but didnt want to lose the TTC time in the end. Nothing much will make you feel better, but try to stay as positive as possible and if a break is what you need, DO IT....

LOL about feeling like my avatar! I often feel like that as well.
As for the stress, try different things out in the world for stress management, try to figure out what works for you. For instance, I have a systems which involves starting to test and then if I dont get a + by 12 or 13 dpo then I start realizing its not my month (my lp is usually about 15 days) when my period actually starts well that month I usually have a good hearty cry over some beer or wine. When I go in for my CD bloodwork and ultra\sound well thats the day I vow to put last cycle behind me and to start focusing on the current cycle and start looking postive at it and feeling optimistic. As for taking time off, thats really up to you. I ttc'd for over 2 years and didnt want to take a month off, I also felt like if I did take a month off that it would be wasted time. However, in april of this year I had some cysts and my doc forced me to take the month off and put me on birth control. That was the best month I had in a while. I am sooo glad that I did. I am now on cycle 31, so feel like a bit of an expert, and the best thing I can say, is go with your feelings. Don't surpress things and talk with anyone you can, whenever you need to.

Honestly, No I am not STRESSED about TTC, more learning and trying to understand my body which can be frustrating, but Im not stressing- mainly b/c if you stress your chances will become less to get that BFP!! So dont stress!!!

Re: This wholw ttc---anyone get really STRESSED to the point....
I have noticed that with each passing month that we are TTC and nothing happens...it's starting to get REALLY hard on me...I feel terrible every time my AF comes and I just can't take BD'ing anymore! It's to the point I think DH is even feeling used and abused!
It's a lot of work!!
But we have to keep strong and stick together!
I understand and agree that it'll alllll be worth it when we are all holding babies in our arms...but getting there is hard!

Re: This wholw ttc---anyone get really STRESSED to the point....
Skygirl,
I empathize with you! MY DH is a Pilot and for the past few months it was crazy for us! The whole summer was crazy! Either I wasn't around or he wasn't.
I haven't been on this board for a while b/c I needed a break from TTCing. DH and I just moved and plan to move again soon (december). Being new to the area, I did some research and I had scheduled a doctor's appointment back in June for a September appointment.....only for the doctor to call me 2 weeks before the appt. to let me know she is no longer accepting new patients. I was soo p i s s e d. So Now, we decided to just wait til we move again. By the time I schedule another appt. here, it will be time to move.
We are not ....NOt trying.......but we are not going crazy with OP kits, temperatures, etc. When we do BD, we try to have fun with it.
I share your frustration! Just keep positive! Take time off if you feel you need to!

Thanks juju- I know the sceduling can be a challenge.
I think what you are doing is the best thing while you 2 are getting settled the whole "not going crazy with it".
Just wanted to wish you luck with the ttc and the relocating
