this year i am going to get a digital camera
I am getting money for my Birthday from my family but i will get the ditgital camera properly in the beginning of october so i can start posting pics on here finally yea!!! now my question is what is the best brand to get i know i am asking early but i like to try to get ideas a head of time thanks so much!

I don't know if you can say one brand is better than another...they are all so different.
Go do some research at the store, as a first time digital camera user, you are going to want something VERY user friendly and easy to download and post pics.
DH got me the Canon PowerShot A80 almost 2 years ago and I love it. It has so many features that I haven't even begun to use. It's easy to download pics to either of my computers, it's a little big to put in your purse or pocket though.

I think the Kodak easy share are very user friendly. For your first camera, I would not concentrate on which camera takes the best pictures, but which is easiest to use, as Shana mentioned.

#1 Canon
#2 Olympus
I would get one of those. Prefer the Canon. But Olympus is good too.
You also need to decide if you want a tiny camera (like the Canon ELPH). Or a normal sized one... like the Powershot.

I have a Kodak 6490 and LOVE it. I also have a Nikon COol Pix and I like that one and DH has a Fuji Fine Pix S5000 and he loves it.
