I try to get trains at Michaels with a 40% or 50% off coupon. Either that or eBay.
They're compatible with Imaginarium tracks, which are cheaper than the Thomas ones. You can get those at Toys r us.

Buy Take-Along Thomas trains, they are the best! I love them! Also, the Tomy trains have good tracks.

Believe it or not I have bought some trains at Marshall's or TJmaxx. They don't have a lot and not always but you can find them their.
