Thomas' Solar System Theme Big Boy Room!
I wanted to post pics because many of you helped me decide on paint color and fan choice. Also, because I love the way it came out and would love if it can help inspire other mommies when decorating big boy rooms!

I love it! We almost bought that bedding, but my boys wanted one that glows in the dark!
 
They now have a solar system mobile and a moon thats a light as well.

Nice!
DS has the same or similar planets on his ceiling. Since he doesn't use his ceiling fan, I put the Inner planets on the fan blades (so the light is the Sun) in their approximate relative positions, then the Outer planets are spaced out relatively proportionate to their actual distance. He wanted me to put actual constellations on his ceiling with the glow-in-the-dark stars, but that was just too much...  He has the Big Dipper, but after that, I just put them up randomly.

The paint is Benjamin Moore Blue Dragon.
The furniture is Nartart bought in 2007 from Sukon's. It was DS's nursery furniture. The crib converted to twin sleigh bed.
The fan is from Home Depot. It's a Hunter fan but I believe it's sold exclusively at Home Depot.
