Thomasville furniture?

Is THomasville expensive?
We need a dining set but don't really want to pay that much more over 1500 for a 7 pc set - 6 chairs 1 table

Re: Thomasville furniture?

great! Chat Icon We've been everywhere and either the furniture is too large or the chairs that come with the sets are hard and uncomfortable and I'm talking about the ones with cushioned seating

Re: Thomasville furniture?

What kind of set do you need? Do you have a small dining room? Have you looked on Rt 110 in Farmingdale? what about Raymour Flannigan?

Re: Thomasville furniture?

we do have a small dining room- we are looking for a black set with a rectangular shaped table and sleek lines that fit about 6 people.

ikea does have something that would work for us and our small room but the quality isn't that great. I mean the table was a little bit shaky & when you sit on the chairs you can feel the frame of the chair on the inside of your legs. the entire set (1 table 6 charis) would be about $1k, which i guess is an ok price for what you are getting

Re: Thomasville furniture?

yes, we've looked on rte 110 and it's the same problem over & over again. the seats are just so hard, maybe they just need some breaking into? I don't know b/c I've never purchased one before

I'm not sure where you live, but you should try Brand Name furniture on Sunrise Highway in Bohemia. They are family owned and operated and they have a pretty good selection. Plus, if you don't see something in the store they can show you catalogs and you can order something for a cheap price. We got out couches, coffee table, and end tables from them. They will negotiate on their prices too.

Re: Thomasville furniture?

omg bubbs! That is so funny b/c in person that set is great. I loved it. but the seating was soo uncomfortable. I wanted to just add cushions on top of te leather seats but DH isn't into that.

I think I have to go back and get second look at it.

Yes, but to me it's so worth it. We bought thomasville for our bedroom suite and it will be with us forever!Chat Icon The craftsmanship is beautiful.ETA: other great quality peices not as expensive, but still pricey are: Bryohill and Bernhardt furniture. This is what we have in our livingroom and diningroom as well. Again ,we purchased knowing this will be it for 10 years. KWIMChat Icon

I would check out Crate and Barrel. Thomasville is expensive but if you want a set that will last you for the years to come then I don't think it is alot.

Re: Thomasville furniture?

Yes it is expensive and I would agree it is furniture that you will likely keep a lifetime b/c it is so durable AND it costs so much.

We bought Ethan Allen furniture and based on what it cost, I will have it forever!
