Those hinges on the toybox to make it stay open...
can they be added to other storage things? We are looking to get a storage bench for our living room. We want to stick the toys in there, but the hinges are my problem.
Can the hinges be added to a non-child item? Has anybody done this?

Yes I know waht you are talking about. My mother put them on her storage bin that she uses for a toy box and they work extremely well. You just attach them with screws.
Edited to say...you can get them at Home Depot or Lowes...but I have seen them at any home store.
