Those of you that boil tap water for bottles....
Buying Poland Spring so frequently is killing me, so I'm thinking of just boiling tap water from now on. Do you just boil up a big batch and put it in the fridge or do you boil it per bottle?

you should try the pur filter system that goes right on your tap. It works really well and doesn't really need to be replaced more than every 2-3 months.

Unfortunately, we've tried that already and for some reason, it doesn't fit properly on our faucet. We even tried different faucet attachments to get it to work, but had no luck.

Re: Those of you that boil tap water for bottles....
I used to just make a big ole pot and then let it cool and pour into a large pitcher and then just left it out because I got Jack used to room temperature in case we were out and I needed water then I could just one from the pack of small waters I keep in my car for bottle emergencies.
But now that he is on solids he is taking alot less bottles so now I just buy nursery water which has floruide. My local water doesn't and my Dr. reccomended started him on it at 6 months and he'll be 6 months in a week. We only go thru maybe 2 gallons a week.

I boil a full kettle of water every night before we go to bed, then leave it out on the counter to cool off. I have a whole kettle of room temp water ready to go for the next day.

We use tap water because it has flouride in it and the babies need it. I don't think bottled water has flouride. You can use nursery water which has flouride.

Re: Those of you that boil tap water for bottles....
I have a strange method of doing it...
I fill half the bottle with Britta water and used freshly boiled water for the other half. This way it is a nice warm temperature for her to drink--I'm insane, I know.
When I go out I have room temperature boiled water in the bottle and add the formula when it's time to eat.
