Those of you who have had a miscariage, which way did it occur?
Drug induced, D&C, or natural?
At this point I just stopped the progesterone and I have another apt. with the RE on Tuesday for monitoring.
I would like to hear your experience. Please feel free to FM me.
Thanks so much for your support! You ladies make this so much easier!

Re: Those of you who have had a miscariage, which way did it occur?
My first M/C from a natural pregnancy was at twelve weeks. I needed a D&C. My second M/C following IVF was at 5 1/2 weeks. It occurred spontaneously.

My first two were natural pregnancies that ended on their own at 5 1/2 weeks and my 3rd was an IUI pregnancy that also ended naturally at 10 weeks.

Mine was at about 6 weeks and it was completely natural. The obgyn said it would be painful with cramping and bleeding, but it really wasn't

Im so sorry for your loss. I know what you are going through. My first IVF worked but ended in a m/c at 8 weeks. I had a D&C, and then had to wait 2 cycles to get the lining back up. I did an FET the second round.

Re: Those of you who have had a miscariage, which way did it occur?
I had an ectopic (non tubal) they never found the pregnancy.
I had a Laparoscopy, DNC, and shot of Methotrexate. I am almost certain that my Doctor did unneccesary surgery!!! Pathology report was negative and she responded that I most likely flushed out the pregnancy prior to surgery. She should of just given me the shot of methatrexate.

Re: Those of you who have had a miscariage, which way did it occur?
My 10 week M/c happened naturally. I started to cramp and bleed and when I got to the ER, the sono showed a lot had been passed already and I didnt need a D & C.
also are they considering it a chemical PG or a M/C? With a chemical , there really is no forming of a fetus, its still an embryo/cells and so you will simply get whats like an AF....It wont be heavy like a M/C. You may need meds to bring it on though.
If you were further along ( Im sorry I forgot how far along you were ) the embryo is more then just cells and if it cannot break down naturally it may require a D & C.
Im so sorry for the technicality of my post.. I DO KNOW the heartache and my heart is breaking for you now.

Re: Those of you who have had a miscariage, which way did it occur?
I had a missed miscarriage at 13 weeks last fall -- never would have known I lost the baby until I went for a sonogram and they saw no heartbeat and that the baby had stopped growing at 9 wks. I needed a D&C because it just seemed as though I wasn't going to miscarry naturally, and I personally could not endure the waiting at that point.., I just needed a bit of closure..
I'm so sorry for your loss

Re: Those of you who have had a miscariage, which way did it occur?
I had a D&C with a blighted ovum. I found out from a sono that the baby never developed and I didn't even have any spotting so they scheduled it for the end of the week. It was much easier to handle the medical fears I had once I had the D&C since I felt fine after.
The psychological effects are still around, even though I am so fortunate to be pregnant again. It is such a difficult experience; especially after all you have been though.
I am so very sorry about your loss

Re: Those of you who have had a miscariage, which way did it occur?
I am about 8 weeks and I am currently waiting for my m/c to occur. My RE gave me 2 shots of methotrexate last week. My numbers dropped on Wednesday so hopefully it will happen soon.
I am so sorry that you have to go through.

Re: Those of you who have had a miscariage, which way did it occur?
i had an early miscarriage naturally. it didn't really hurt more than a bad period as far as cramps, but the heart- well that's a different story.
soooo sorry for your loss, my heart hurts for you.
